Bollinger Bands, Technical Indicator, Technical Study

Bollinger Bands measure the relative price levels over a period time. The study is comprised of three lines. A simple moving average in the middle, an upper band and a lower band. The upper band derived from simple moving average plus 2 standard deviation. The lower band derived from simple moving average minus 2 standard deviation.

20 day simple moving average is recommended for the study. Bollinger Bands become wider when the market is more volatile while narrows during less volatile periods.
